This project has been completed in June 2002, which is my BEng final year project. I cannot post details in this webpage. Here is the introduction to my project: Switching mode power supply are nearly all analog controlled at present. The objective of this project is to build a compact and cost effective digital controlled power supply with a common microcontroller ('μC') and therefore, implement the modern digital control law to the control of the power supply. Its performance is compared to a common analog control power supply both by simulation and testing result. If the performance is satisfactory, then a common μC can take over all the signaling and the controlling of the power supply and making the power supply very flexible. In this project, a two-FET forward topology is used, because it provides the high input voltage, and heavy output loading. There are two different power supply units tried, one is DC-DC power supply and the other one is AC-DC power supply. Block Diagram |
